The Integrated Care System (ICB) Board

on .

The Integrated Care System (ICB) Board will be responsible for commissioning (buying) and monitoring NHS services in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent from the 1 July 2022. It will take on responsibility for pharmacy, dental and optometry (eye) services from April 2023.

The new ICB will replace the six clinical commissioning groups in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent. This follows Royal Assent of the Health and Care Act (2022). There will be 42 Integrated Care Systems in England, which include NHS Integrated Care Boards, set up on a statutory basis.

We are working hard to prepare for this transition, including recruiting to the new Integrated Care Board - Chaired by Prem Singh and led by Peter Axon, the interim Chief Executive Officer.

You can read more about the upcoming changes to the organisation here

All Integrated Care Boards are required to have a constitution, which details our approach to fulfilling our statutory duties. You can read our Constitution, which has been assured by NHS England, here .
